Gamer Block January Unboxing
Gamer Block January Unboxing
This unboxing came at a crucial time. Iâve been shipwrecked for weeks and this box pulled me right out of the chaos of adulting. Februaryâs been kicking my butt! God help me, itâs only the beginning of the month. I feel like waving a little white flag in defeat⌠On second thought, never mind. That requires clean linen, which means Iâd have to do laundry. NOPE!  Arcade Blockâs recent metamorphosisâŚ

Julyâs âFuturisticâ Loot Crate
Sadly, the only thing about this monthâs I cared about keeping with the Loot Pin; all of the other items were pretty foreign to me. Sure, I know of the franchises included, but Iâm not a fan of any of them really outside of Star Trek, so I gave my entire crate away this month to my 11 year old cousin. He thought heâd died and went to heaven so at least someone was happy about it. While itâs a little disappointing that I had to pass the entire crate on, Iâve been getting Loot Crate for almost 2 years now and this has never happened before so Iâd say they have a better ratio of being excellent than not. Hopefully next month will be epic to make up for this monthâs loss. ;)
Donât miss out, deadline for the Sea Witch box is Midnight 31st July.

Tips & Tricks: Uses for âUnwantedâ Products
Having become a subscriber of several different bags and boxes now, Iâve started to amass a collection of products that just arenât for me, and I figure Iâm not the only one. Here are some of my tips on what to do with them!
First of all, do not swatch them. I know, I know, a lot of people find it important to swatch all of their swatchable products in their reviews or when showing off their bags on social media, but I recommend not doing that.
If youâve received a product that you know without testing just isnât your style (for example, a lipstick shade that you just know isnât for you, or a hair-styling product that you have absolutely no use for), set it aside. Get yourself a small box, a basket, or a small-medium giftbag, and start a collection of your unwanted products.
This collection can have a lot of different uses! For example:
Use them as stocking stuffers, especially right now, with Christmas right around the corner!
Make a collection of products that go together, and give them to someone as a gift - a birthday or holiday present, or maybe just as a thank you, or even a get-well-soon gift.
Use them as prizes! Are you throwing any kind of party or shower soon? Why go out and spend more money than you really need to on prizes for games when youâve got all these unused products sitting around?
Donate them. Iâll admit, I donât know as much about this option, and Iâm sure regulations vary by city or region, but itâs worth looking into. Maybe thereâs a womenâs shelter nearby that would be happy to redistribute the products for you, or a youth centre for teens who would be overjoyed to try out new products that they might not otherwise be able to get their hands on.
Sell them. Hey, thereâs nothing wrong with trying to make some of your money back, right? Go ahead and list that mascara or lipstick that you donât need on eBay or some other re-sale site that you might frequent, or put out a basket of products that you donât want at your next yard sale - just remember that if youâre selling online, people are paying attention to the shipping cost that you list, too. You usually get these products at a steal, so remember that you can afford to sell them for a good price and share the savings. Consider bundling two or three products together instead of selling them individually, to save on base shipping costs.
Host a swap meet. Do you have friends who are just as into subscriptions as you are? Suggest a swap meet a few months ahead of the proposed event, and then trade products with your friends! Maybe that lippy that you just werenât into is just the shade your friend has been looking for - and maybe they have the perfect eyeliner to trade you for it!
Sometimes, however, things arenât so cut and dry. Sometimes, it isnât until after youâve tried a product that you realize itâs not for you. Thatâs okay, too - it doesnât mean you have to throw it out now that itâs been âused.â Maybe you have a good friend or family member who might like it and doesnât mind sharing your cooties? I donât recommend giving it as an official gift in this circumstance, but itâs always nice to share the fun; hey, maybe youâll make someoneâs day or introduce them to their new favourite product!
