After how many escalated violence scenarios you have observed that began on social media, do you consider that sub-posts, comments, and vulgarity you like/re-post are about someone you don’t know personally? Your followers or friends/relatives have secrets of their own, and sometimes they could be hiding them from you in shame through a social media game of telephone that is meant to deflect and project shame onto someone else. You are then participating in targeting someone online through your likes and re-shares of your follower’s post. Especially when sexual violence is involved, investigate what happened first before liking posts from your follower/friend etc. and before you re-share it.
