one of my faves from russo’s playlist is Colorblind by Counting Crows, back when i did ballet i remember one of the older classes using this as a recital performance song so i’m thrilled this fits so nicely. it’s nice and melancholy and a little cold, so it’s a nice song for early- to mid-game russo while he’s not used to feeling supported by others yet

this sort of thing can go exactly one way with capella lmao, they can like your work and not like you as a person, but if they don't like your work they cannot like you at all. tbh i think they kind of hate their mentor from when they were younger, but like (most of) how he taught them to be a hunter and to survive being one

meanwhile russo is willing to put up with a lot more. i think there are a lot of crows whose work he respects but who he does not spend any extended time with if he can. At The Moment he definitely respects caterina's work ("beware of the old woman in a job where men die young" and all that) while also being afraid of who she is as a person. i think he's also not fully comfortable with every aspect of emmrich's work but he like the man himself quite a bit

28. What do they tell people they want? What do they actually want?

capella tells people they want to do their damn job as a hunter, and to not have anyone get in their way of doing so. i don't think they recognize what they actually want, which is closer to: acceptance and understanding of who they are as a person
