I have never been a boots girl. Like, never ever. Ever. And yet this winter I found myself with two new pairs of ankle books and loving myself sick in them.

The first pair was a tan leather from Hush Puppies of all places, and after I realised I was actually wearing them places and not just admiring them on a shelf at home, I knew black was the next logical step.

I had criteria: ankle length, pointed toe, low block heel, no fancy leathers or trimmings. A good, solid, every-day-but-also-party-at-night boot. I can walk in them but they still look sharp. Comfort AND style. Leather. Plus I wasn’t prepared to pay through the nose.

Enter the Human Premium ‘Dena’ boot. They have an elastic side and are pretty much a rip off of an Acne style but they ticked every box. And I feel damn cool in them. I’ve gotten so much wear out of them in just two months and they’ve absolutely become a wardrobe staple for me.

Highly recommend.
