A Blend Of Style and Nature

Holidays, for me, apart from getting to see a new place, also means experimenting with your outfits. Because you are a tourist, there is no one to judge you and there is no awkwardness whatsoever.

I maybe ranting about Pondicherry but if you've been there, you'll know exactly why. Apart from its serenity and cleanliness, the place has bougainville in almost every nook and corner of the town. And bougainville automatically enhances the beauty of any frame. The bright and lovely colors of the bougainville make for a happy atmosphere. Being a fashion lover, I'd be a fool if I left the place without doing any outfit posts with the beauty of Pondy as the backdrop.

While walking around the French Town in Pondy, I came across tons and tons of prettiness.The cute row-houses consisted of decorative and large doors. Some had fences (I somehow have a thing for fences), some had huge rustic doors that remind you of the old-world charm, while some were simply painted in unusual but striking colors.

Now coming to the outfit post... The pencil skirt that I'm wearing in this blog post, is the first item that went into my bag while packing for the holiday. So you can imagine my divine love for this printed skirt! Luckily, I have managed to find backdrops that are in contrast with the bright green skirt. 

This outfit is suitable for a dinner date. Also, if you team the pencil skirt with a shirt, preferably white, it can easily pass off as a chic formal look, you can wear it to meetings and presentations.

Shades Of Style 

Colors can work wonders! They can make or break you. And putting up a look using a mix of different colors or shades can turn out to be a brilliant idea. Just make sure you use the most attractive blend and one that enables you to make a classy style statement. 

I’ve tried something unique with this style post. My focus here is more on the colors and its mixture and less on the outfit. But yes, the colors only add to the outfit to make the entire look stand out. I’ve used a contrasting lip color and nail paints that go perfectly well with the rugged denim shirt. 

Since denim, as well know, is the smartest pick and goes well with any and every thing, what you can also do is make use of the smart shirt in more ways than one. For a casual dinner date or movie outing, you can turn the denim shirt into a jacket with a printed or plain tank top as the inner. This will give you a chic look! And on days when you’re too bored to dress-up, throw a pair of leggings or jeggings with your denim shirt… Easy? 

Also, since pink is my all-time favourite shade in lipsticks and goes well with the light shade of denim shirt here, I’ve used the combo. Let me tell you, I totally love experimenting with nail paints, therefore, I’ve used two different light colors, keeping in mind the other shades used in the whole look!
