Dress Your Way To Your Job
You’ve applied for a new job and have been asked to an interview. You really want this job and you’re nervous, preparing and going through thousands of mock questions that you could be asked. The last thing that’s on your mind is what you’re going to wear.
Making a good first impression is important in normal day-to-day life scenarios, but it is paramount for a job interview. So take some time to think about your outfit. Take into consideration the type of job you’re applying to and the company itself. Have look online at the company website and see what they’re wearing in the pictures. Re-read the email about the interview to see if any dress code has been assigned and if you’re unsure, email to ask. Remember, it’s always better to be overdressed than underdressed!
The easiest way to look smart and professional is to wear a simple outfit in grey, navy or black. In the summer go for a skirt or dress, while in the winter cover up with a pair of cigarette trousers and jacket. Finish your outfit off with a sleek pair of low heels or flat pumps.

The Best of Glamour at Cannes
The Cannes International Film Festival is upon us once again. Since its foundation in 1946 it previews new films from all genres and gives out awards, the most prestigious being the Palme d’Or for the best film.
It has become an important showcase for European films, many winning the Palme d’Or (such as “La Vie d’Adele” / Blue is the Warmest Colour in 2013). The week-long festival is certainly the most publicised and most anticipated film festival of the year.
Held in May, the French Riviera is overtaken with film stars, models and royalty for the invitation-only event. Â This year marks the 68th edition of the festival and we have already seen some of the captivating glamour that is to come throughout the week at the opening party.
Over the last few decades, Cannes has become known for the red carpet looks, as well as the films it showcases. As always, all eyes will be on the red carpet as celebrities take glamour to its full extent.
At this year’s opening ceremony we saw model Karlie Kloss sparkle in a silver floor-length dress, Julianne Moore ooze sophistication in a black feathered dress and Lupita Nyong’o bring a splash of colour in a green dress. So many more idyllic dresses are to come as the festival progresses. but we thought we’d take you through some of the best, prettiest and most glamourous dresses of Cannes, ever!

Fashion in Politics
With the General Election 1 day away our TV screens and Newspapers have been filled with politicians vowing to make Britain better with its party’s policies. From immigration laws to public spending, we’ve heard it all.
We’ve also noticed how fashion is taking the political world by storm. Indeed, some of the leading ladies looked especially stylish in the TV debates and on other public appearances. So, we thought we’d have a quick look at some of the styles in Politics at the moment.
In the UK
Plaid Cymru’s Leanne Wood - sophisticated, stylish and simple. A hint of colour with a black blazer over a red dress or a pink jacket over a beige dress. She also goes bold with coloured shoes like these pink pumps.
Nicola Sturgeon of the SNP - Â Livens up the political scene with bright colours, favouring reds, navy and purple outfits. She teams this up with a pair of sleek high heels.
Samantha Cameron - Although not a politician herself, her sophisticated style and being married to the PM deserves her a mention. Wearing a variety dress and skirts with simple pumps.
Home Secretary Theresa May - Favours simple and traditional outfits with a touch of youth, like with these half black, half animal print ankle boots.
Across the pond
Hillary Clinton of the Democratic Party - Putting a feminine twist on pantsuits with fun colours / headbands / oversized sunglasses and low heels.
Michelle Obama - Like Samantha Cameron, Michelle is not directly involved with politics. However, she is currently America’s First Lady and she brightens up the White House with her daring and colourful fashion items. Favouring knee length dresses with patterns, she always finishes her outfits with a simple heel, like these black pumps.

2015 Met Gala Fashion
The Met Gala in an annual fundraising gala to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in NYC.
It is believed that the guest list rivals that of the Vanity Fair post-Oscar party and tickets for those not on the official guestlist cost around £25,000. The event marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s fashion exhibit and the guests choose their outfit to correspond with the theme of the annual exhibit. This year it is “China -Through the Looking Glass”.
Last year, celebrities showed off their Met Gala experience with a series of selfies posted to their social media accounts. However, this year, Anna Wintour (Chair of the event since 1995 and Editor in Chief of Vogue) has banned all posts to Instagram and Twitter. This is because she reportedly hates selfies and because Vogue is making a documentary about the event, so she doesn’t want the behind-the-scenes spoiled.
