The classic style essence does not follow trends. It's a conservative essence that thrives on styles that have stood the test of time and are just as elegant now as they were decades ago. Since the classic style essence is an even blend between yin and yang, the best clothing shapes for this essence are those that blend yin and yang shapes in a similar manner. The best example of this is the skirt suit - a blend between the yang suit and the yin skirt. Similarly, dresses, coats etc. look best when they are long (yang) but have a fitted waist (yin).
Neutral Colours
There is nothing unconventional or unexpected about the classic style essence. On the contrary, this essence exudes an understated elegance and therefore looks best in neutral, basic colours that don't distract from the Classic's physical features.
Minimal Detail + Premium Materials
In the same vein, classic designs are simple with as little detail as possible that would distract from the Classic's symmetry. Extravagant collars, extra buttons and pockets are not something the classic style essence requires. The plainer, the better. To complement the elegant designs of the classic styles, premium fabrics are a must. Textures and materials should convey luxury and quality.
Timeless Patterns
Although the classic style essence looks best in plain outfits, patterns are wearable as long as they are subdued and not attention-seeking. Timeless patterns such as houndstooth or even cable knits can work on this style essence.

The Winter palette is cool, clear, vivid and high contrast. The only palette with true white and black in it, it also features the strongest variants of red, green, pink and blue.
Do remember though, that your seasonal type is a guide. If you fall at one end of a palette, it doesn’t mean you can’t ever go near colours from other areas of that palette, just that this particular area is the strongest part for your own skin tone and contrast level. Sometimes a 12 or 16 season system can feel quite limiting in terms of the colours available to you, but remember that the rest of the colours within your wider seasonal palette will also work for you and will harmonise with your absolute best colours.

Cool/Sultry Winter
A Cool Winter sits at the deepest end of the Winter palette, losing some of the brightness of the True and Bright Winters and gaining some extra darkness. Cool Winters often have slightly more depth of colouring than their brighter counterparts, and are often extremely cool toned, turning sallow in anything with even a hint of warmth in it. Your best colours are charcoal grey, deepest indigo and navy and burgundy, and very pale grey is often a better pale neutral than stark white.
= look for colours that are either very deep or very pale but nonetheless extremely cool toned. Avoid winter colours with even a bit of warmth in them.

How to determine if an outfit is cool toned:
Do your eyes and or teeth appear whiter and clearer or more vivid when you wear it? Yes
Do you or does your skin look more tired, washed, or sick or Do you look more awake, clear, or lively? You want the latter
Makeup: Do you look yellow or is there a yellow cast on your face when you take pictures or in the light? Yes - your makeup is the wrong undertone for your skin.
PSA: I’ve noticed that because of the lack of actual interest in learning about black skin and its complexity in literal diversity, most makeup products only tend to expand their complexion range via shades rather than undertones for shades, using mostly warm or golden undertones to expand their range. And whilst expanding complexion shades is a revolutionary act in itself, we actually tend to fall under the winter colour season rather than dark autumn or spring even if we may be of lighter complexion, meaning we are actually more likely to have neutral to cooler undertones than warm undertones.
