A QG Style Guide: Muted Tones & Textures
“I might wear black for a year straight”....
Wearing neutral and muted tones in the winter has been adopted by the masses due to the help of menswear designers John Elliott and Alexander Wang. My friend Dylan enjoys experimenting with luxury and streetwear looks by mixing elongated and leisure apparel together. This look blends well with the Chicago urban scenery and muted architectural designs. In menswear a lot of millennials are starting to sport more leisure apparel but yet sticking to the streetwear approach. Adding a simple hoodie, a side-zipped t-shirt, and an elongated t-shirt can make for the perfect “goth ninja” look.
Zippers add detailing to your clothing but in menswear the use of zippers can be used for utility purposes. Side zippers offer better room for movement and function while creating a beautiful design detail. Dylan layered his hoodie with a nylon trench coat and kept things cozy by sporting a pair of Adidas Yeezy Boost 350. If you’re wondering how you can create your own “cozy boy” look try visiting ASOS, Zara, or Top Shop to find those trendy pieces at affordable prices.
