it's honestly interesting comparing vampire and canon larissa in that each of them has found an "acceptable" outlet for their toxicity/negative traits. for canon larissa, she's condescending, manipulative, and difficult. for example, the thread with farah where she is purposely over-familiar out of jealousy, then gaslights farah about it. because that behavior is embedded in a social context and isn't OBVIOUSLY harmful, she's getting away with it and can justify it to herself. whereas vampire larissa is prone to outbursts instead, such as when she literally grabs star and lifts her off her feet to get a sniff, and that is also "acceptable" because violence and physical aggression are a given among vampires. interestingly, because vampire larissa HAS these outbursts--does one big, explosive shitty thing, versus canon larissa doing a bunch of much smaller shitty things spread out over time--she goes into a kind of collapse of shame and guilt afterward. e.g. she will likely have a strong guilt reaction to star in that thread over time, because she's honestly embarrassed herself.
