#stupid issue

You (fallingwiththesun) state that my last gif about Castle and Beckett here is the same of yours here. You say I stole your work, and I say no. No because, without mentioning the fact that I DO NOT steal from people because as I said I see no sense in it, and because I respect the artist, I made that gif myself. I have psds that are mine, so that if playing with them has come out a color that is similar to yours I can't do nothing. You say your first crop is the same as mine? as you can see from the screen here (larger)

                        that was not my first crop, but the second; however given that the first one was less defined I deleted it. However...as you can see from the following screen of your gif  (larger)          

                         the dimension differs from mine. Now tell me, how can I have stolen your gif then added 4 pixels and put it to make the part coincide with the othe part of my gif, all of this without any difference in coloring? How can I add pixels to a gif in such a perfect way? Mmmm...I'm not that good at ps and I think I never will, but i thank you for thinking it;  however please stop saying I stole your work. This is not the case. 

Maybe you forget that Tumblr is huge and that there are many sets or posts that are similar, but this doesn't mean that everybody is a thief. Furthermore, your post is three weeks old with 4 notes that contain just one reblog. Tell me; you think I have all the time of this world to go back on your blog, whose existence I discovered yesterday night, to one month almost old posts and to steal it?You're overvaluing my curiosity. 

With this I colcude this very sad issue. I'm not a thief, everything I do is mine, and it's plain to see it, I'm not a quality blog, and never will be. There are tons of better blogs than me, and if I MUST steal from someone would be from one of those. Now I will really spend no more time on this issue. You just have to try to think twice, then counting till 100 before acting next time.

... well, of course only under certain circumstances, but hey, I am quite experienced developer, and today I once again wrote code that killed app in unexpected way. So the point of this post, do not undervalue lazy nature of the IEnumerable. Or do not use IEnumerable as arguments in your API. Both is OK.

Later is explanation for idiots like me. So take a look on this code:

Simple LINQ query and simple usage of the results. Problem comes when you start using results. This is very easy to write code that will re-evaluate your nice LINQ stuff again and again. And this very easy to introduce unexpected side-effect. And this quite hard to find this side-effect.

In my case I have had quite large LINQ query, that among other things called method that was responsible to find some entity and if not found, create it. And query was evaluating six! times for each item. As the result six new records in database, every time I hit this code. After I figure out what is wrong, fix was an easy job. However I still really ashamed with this code.

But I am genuinely upset by the state of my nails.

They're chipped and cracked and stained two different colors and most of the white parts don't show.

Looking at them without nail polish is very distressing, I try to paint them as soon as possible so I don't have to look at them.

I feel so embarrassed of them.

This is so stupid.

Why does this even matter?
