Stufish models the Chimelong Theatre in China on traditional circus tents
An undulating golden facade wraps around the 6,700-seat Chimelong Theatre on Hengqin Island in China, which Stufish has designed to evoke the form of traditional circus tents.
Located south of Macau, the giant circus theatre was built by entertainment architecture studio Stufish to replace the Chimelong Hengqin International Circus City that was irreparably damaged by a typhoon in 2016.

The Joshua Tree Tour 2017 is a celebration of the original album and tour of the same name undertaken by U2 in 1987 reflecting the group’s fascination for the American landscape, its people, literature and myths. 30 years on this fascination remains particularly contemporary and revisiting the album a timely confirmation of the group’s love affair with the continent. Stufish continues its long relationship with U2 and creative Director Willie Williams. This show is minimalism on a maximum scale.
