Since Cirque artists are like ninjas of showbiz, there are quite a lot of misleading information about Alexander Balzano

While he is indeed a world class aerialist, supermodel and burlesque legend who is of Italian and Japanese descent, he's not really from Venice. He's from Denver

Some fans speculated that he's trained in Russia or China. But he's a proud alumni of the Ecole Nationale de Cirque

And despite his relatively youthful appearance, he actually has been performing since his Cirque debut in 2000 at the age of 20, winning over 60 awards and had also been an occasional judge at cosplay contests.

He's actually more of a director-star performer of Cirque du Soleil now since the early 2020s, juggling between running his West Coasr Cirque crew for their Los Angeles 2028 Olympics rehearsals, mocap for the Goetias and Hamephorash ( West Coast Aerialists ) AND being models for the birds of the upcoming Zootopia 3 movie ( again, with aerialists ).

Well, Alexander didn't take the misleading information around him personally. He's always proud of the Cirque mystique. Yet he still finds Brandon's sheer lack of subtlety adorable. While Brandon shouts about their love through the rooftops and through his outrageous thirst traps, Alexander teases and flirts with Brandon through his provocative burlesque shoots on his public Instagram profile. Of course Cheng Fei ( who is now a Cirque director in the Beijing Cirque branch ) and Emilie Livingston ( who is now a director in the LA Cirque branch because she and her husband Jeff Goldblum got houses in Montreal and LA ) look younger than their age!

Harvey: So most Cirque artists are either recruited from Olympian level teams and acrobatic institutions or straight from the Ecole National de Cirque. Cirque du Soleil's HQ may be in Montreal but its also got bases in major cities around the world. They are just tucked in the outskirts of those cities.

Also remember Victoria Jacoby from AGT? Well, there are some misleading information about her too. She didn't go to Ryder University ( she has NO time for that ) - she became an Ecole Nationale de Cirque student in 2008 at age 11 straight after her AGT run and got her 2017 Cirque debut at 20. And yes, Alexander is one of her Cirque mentors. She's now a mocap model for Nifty.

Josh: So the Ecole Nationale de Cirque students got trained in superhuman acrobatics ( of course ), as well as ballet, rhythmic gymnastics and even some martial arts ( remember KA and Dralion? ). When those students got older, they also learn some burlesque if they want

And thats why you see Alexander can jump between being a supermodel, aerialist and burlesque performer since 2000.

Natalie: So Alexander did live around Montreal with some other roommates when he first started out ( cuz duh ), before he moved to New York where he lived for at least 10 years ( he's friends with a lot of Broadway folks even before he met Brandon ). During COVID he deflected to Venice because the US vaccines are terrible ( I met Josh in 2022 and we also agree on that ). And then he got called up to perform in LA28 and he moved to LA and....the rest is history.

Blake: Alexander still has his deluxe Cirque suite in Montreal and keeps his old flat in New York, and he now mainly happily lives with Brandon in their house together in LA. So whenever Brandon and Alex fly to New York, they just stay at Alex's New York flat.
