Studyblr Introduction
It’s been a few weeks and I haven’t done one of these yet so it’s probably about time!
About me
My name is Romy, I’m a 21 year old student from the Netherlands. This means English is not my native language. Even though I feel like I’m doing well, I would like to become much better at it so feel free to send me a (kind) message if I mess up the English language. I made this studyblr to give me extra motivation and feel less guilty while procrastinating every once in a while!
Currently typing my AP Human Geo study guide. Final grades for first semester are coming out soon, and I'm hoping for the best!
Missed the last few days but 8/100 • finished my AP bio lab and AP Hug project ✨🌿
🌸Another semester and motivated to start 😊💗 A student’s story:
After the pandemic started, I lose my focus on learning. I procrastinate a lot during those semester so it got me bad grades. It made me down. I was so pressured and was overwhelmed by the continuous tasks online that I gave up on making them. I was not used to it. That time I thought of studying as very tiring. It was the worst time of me as a student. In addition of that, my parents knew about it. Of course as parents, they are very disappointed and at that time I realized how I failed them.
Until this last short term, I came into a class where my instructor talks about procrastination. She cared for it a lot that she would always remind us of it. Then I thought about it. A deep realization hit me. Why did I start this course? Why am I here? Why do my instructors always remind me of my missing tasks and procrastination?
Then I searched online; What would motivate me to start again with a better self in learning. I realized through my years in the university. I just don’t know what style of learning helps me to understand the lessons well that’s why I panic a lot when I don’t understand about the lesson. I searched about study motivations on YouTube. I came across Writing. It’s time consuming--YES. But I realized it’s the fast way for me to learn. I started to write all the lessons and videos sent by our instructors. I didn’t think of typing them because social media always make me lose focus. So I write them all in my notebooks. And I retain the lessons I wrote. I have understood them. It was very effective that I was addicted to writing. I also improved my handwriting because of it.
Because of studyblr and study vlogs i watch. I tried to manage my time because I was so bad at it before.
And one of my favorite things is an addition to my hobby. “The world of Mechanical Keyboards”. At first, I though it was very troublesome to start it because I don’t have that much money as a student. But I learned about it, the tools and types of builds, switches, keycaps, etc. Watched keyboard enthusiasts and subscribed to them. It got my interest and I feel comfortable in this hobby. Although you have a budget keyboard. You can customize it. It was fun!
My mind is refreshed. Now, I’m good to go! I feel motivated and I hope everyone does this coming school year. Find your hobby too. So school would not overwhelm you. Just balance your time in your hobby and studies.

First full week of classes are over! And I took a nap today because life has been going at a top speed. This semester should not be that difficult class-wise. I always enjoy German, but I do see myself getting overwhelmed by all the vocab we are goning to learn this semester. There are readings for Intercultural Communication and Living by the Ocean. And Edpidemiology will be the hardest, because I have to remember how to do math homework. I’d almost take a group report over the problem sets, but I have a good professor so I am not overly worried.
Plans for tonight include reading, journalling, being horizontial, and going to bed at an early hour cause my brain needs a good snooze.
AP psych research review. Can't believe the AP exam is in three days 🙃
attention
