Plants or herbs for Studying
Amber - Burn as incense to increase focus and concentration. Bergamot - Burn as incense or diffuse as an essential oil to sharpen focus. Caraway - Carry to improve memory. Cinquefoil - Carry in a sachet with rosemary and peppermint to help with memory and concentration. Eyebright - When studying, hold the herb to set an intention for mental clarity and to remove mental blocks. Fern - Keep in room where studying is done to help concentration. Lilac - Burn as an incense or diffuse as an essential oil to aid concentration, mental clarity and memory retention. Periwinkle - Keep dried leaves or flowers in a sachet on your desk or around your study space to improve memory and focus. Rosemary - Wear or carry rosemary on your body to clear thinking and help improve memory. Sage (garden sage) - Associated with wisdom and decision making, burn as incense to promote clarity of mind.
Please be wary that some of these herbs may be toxic to animals or humans if ingested or handled improperly, take adequate precautions if you have children or animals in your household. Also, this is not the only way to utilize these herbs, just the way I would use them in my own practice. This is not a comprehensive list and I welcome others adding to it should they want to!
