This is what my day looks like every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday when I work in admissions. And as you already know, this is pretty much what my desk looks like at home too. I have learned over the last 8? months of this pandemic that I thrive through chaos. We have a Starbucks on campus in our business center where I have spent the last three years doing my homework and writing papers in. But because of the pandemic, I can’t do any of that now. Sure, I COULD go and sit there all day, but the idea makes me so incredibly uncomfortable. And with three of my four classes being online, I actually spend most of my time at home. Because of this, I have to essentially relearn how to study.
Yesterday I learned that I have COVID, which has unsurprisingly sent my life into a spiral. I cried most of yesterday as I took phone call after phone call from my school, the hospital, my work, and the health department. I have to quarantine for the next 10 days while my roommate has had to temporarily move onto campus and quarantines for the next two weeks.
