my back-to-school checklist for spring semester!! got to get off to the best start I can!
-ORDER YOUR BOOKS (please) or make sure your school library has copies
-get all your school supplies in order, but first check and see what you can reuse: old binders from GenEd classes you’ll never look at again, etc.
-set up all your binders, clean out your backpack, test your pens and toss the ones that are out of ink.
-please wash that one sweatshirt you’ve been living in all of winter break.
-wash all your bedding, not just your sheets. always start a new semester with a cozy and clean bed.
-clean your room (aka, find all the hairbands, chapsticks, and pens you lost last semester so you don’t need to buy new ones)
-go through your clothes and seriously consider giving away clothes you haven’t worn in the past six months (interview clothes/formal wear doesn’t count--more like 2+ years? give or take?)’
-set reminders on your phone to schedule coffee dates and/or skype calls with your friends
-go through and organize your make-up. Throw out old, gross stuff.
-schedule any necessary appointments (doctor, dentist, chiropractor, etc) that you know you’ll need to have during the first 2 months of school.
-clean out your desk, bedside table, wherever you stash random shit when you need your room to look clean
-relax and/or hang out with friends/family as much as your schedule allows before the new semester! maybe read that book you’ve been meaning to?
-remember that you’re wonderful and smart and you are as prepared as you can be for your new classes. determine that you are ready and will kick ass this semester and follow through.
good luck with all your new classes! you’ve got this!
