one thing twin throne loves doing is fucking with each other mid-show. someone throws a wig or a hat up onstage and alfie picks it up and plops it on jules’ head while he’s playing. tommy and jules leave their spots to go play as close to alfie as possible until he makes them move back. jules asks alfie “asphinctersayswhat” and alfie pretends to fall for it bc it makes jules laugh. cora is trying to mind her business and slap da bass but jules and tommy are asking her to bust a move even though she famously has two left feet. michelle is the only one holding it down because it’s harder to fuck with her from behind her kit, but trust and believe jules and tommy will make it happen eventually

something alfie was very particular about was hiring people who not only could keep up with the band’s most complex songs, but could also fit in easily with the group dynamic it’s been operating under. twin throne started as a high school passion project between four friends, and even when the original rhythm section, siblings vero and jaime, decided to leave the band due to its sudden uptick in popularity, alfie still wanted that same vibe; music made by a tight-knit group of people who, above everything else, are having fun while they do it
