Got the smaller work table covered with canvas and moved into it's new spot. Things had been held up because the basement sink pump stopped working, and getting a plumber out took ages BUT thankfully it was only clogged. DAILY DRAWING DAY 145/365: Not a “drawing” but I’m painting the space that’ll become my studio/office. It was a mid toned blue/grey before which is lovely, but in the basement just too darn dark. Didn’t realize how dark it was until I started painting. I went with a bright, warm toned white, in a satin finish. I didn’t want it to be such a shiny bright white that it looked sterile. Studio reno is 90% done, so I was able to test out my new work flow a bit tonight. Feeling really good about it so far - the ergonomics are reasonably comfortable and I feel more...grounded?- in my space. That’s not quite the right word but it’ll do. I have some new supplies arriving this week to help me move ahead with the new skills I learned in Colorado, so it all seems like a waterfall of new new new. And with the crazy lucky gift of my new desk that we found in the junk heap out back, it’s nice to have made some actual physical room for all the new stuff I’ve learned. Renovation to our studio printshop and office is plugging along! We've begun painting the exterior, replaced the front door, added gutters and drainage rocks, demoed the inside to be one open room, begun insulating (drywall is coming), and wired for some ceiling and outside lights. 💪🏻 So thankful for all those friends and family who have helped us so far and we're SO excited to see things move more quickly as we go! 👏🏻 More detailed blog post coming soon. #thispapershipstudio #fixerupper #studiorenovation
