Working on Studio Kadence's DMX15-80, the absolute original mono version, serial number 000, with the old, non-solder-stop motherboard!!! 😮 HURRAY!! Another culprit found: two 4116 DRAM chips gone bad on one of the four RAM cards, which were making the usual digital noise at regular intervals. Took some time and investigation to finally find that the ICs storing bits D8 and D9 were dead, though... Culprit found: a dead LS138 that was preventing the main microprocessor from getting access to the software EPROM. Now the unit boots fine, keyboard and display respond correctly 😊 However, there are still huge audio issues to solve now: no A/D conversion, no output...
