This week I was honored to be invited to participate in the Adobe Creative Jam. At 7:00am, Adobe sent out an email to the 10 photographers with a theme: Transition. We had until 5:00pm to shoot, arrive at the event, and edit on site, to later turn in one photo. This is my submission. With the theme of Transition, I thought a concept that would attempt to embody how me, my friends, colleagues, and many millions in the U.S. feel, following the results of the 2016 presidential election. With the help of a few of my talented and dear friends and my brilliant wife, I came up with a concept, a set, crafted some moody light, and topped it off with some unconventional effects. Using a sheet of glass in front of the camera, I reflected a TV showing a map of the electoral collage results to give a subtle overlay on the subjects face. This is Princess Kennedy, a transgender friend of mine who has been through a lot through the years.
