Well, I somehow managed to pick up a drip-edge 1969 Fender Bassman for $300 today. This amp sounds absolutely incredible and has a bit more gain on tap than I thought it would. I finally got my hands on this 1966 Silvertone 1482 yesterday! These amps were made throughout the 1960's by Danelectro in Neptune, New Jersey and are commonly referred to as the 'poor man's Tweed Deluxe.' This amp sounds nice and gritty when cranked, and it sounds very deep and full when set clean too. Interestingly enough, the stock Fisher speaker was swapped with a 1965 Utah speaker at some point. I also finally got to experience the joy of the so-called "death capacitor" firsthand when I touched the metal end on one of my patch cables and my body became the path to ground. Well, my 1965 Fender Jazzmaster is finally finished! When I got this guitar a few months ago, it was in pretty rough shape. It had been repainted orange and then a layer of black spray paint was applied over that. The pickguard was painted white and the pickup covers and knobs were painted black. Even in that shape, at just $475, it was a steal. Since the original paint was long gone, I decided to do it in sonic blue with a mint green pickguard, which has always been one of my favorite color combinations. I partly blame @puisheen for that one! Woke up at 3am on a Thursday to order this pedal before it sold out in under 20 minutes. I missed out on the first two runs knew I would be forever kicking myself if I missed out on the 3rd and final run. My first Earthquaker Devices pedal and definitely not my last. Thank you @sunnofficial and @earthquakerdev for teaming up for such an incredible pedal.

Apparently I have a thing for 70's solid state heads. Picked up this 1972 Peavey PA200 for $50 at a pawn shop on Sunday. An effects loop was added at some point and using a patch cable to bridge the input and output essentially turns the reverb control into an additional gain control. The video is my Electra 2245 straight into the amp. No additional drive or boost pedals used. Filmed the new @richardcoryband music video today. I had to remind myself how to play some of these parts. It was also the first time I've been able to play this rig any louder than bedroom level. I can't say enough about @aaronofrivia. Not only is he an amazing drummer, but he's also been in charge of directing/filming this video.
