There are lots of blogs that talk about how you don't need to be focused on aesthetic to be a successful studyblr/student but despite all that talk, it can be really difficult to find studyblrs that aren't focused around that aesthetic. I'd love to create some kind of blog directory to make it easy to find studyblrs that aren't focused on photos and aesthetic for anyone who might be looking for that kind of studyblr community/experience.

if u could be any disney princess who would u be: I’ve always wanted to be Belle, but I feel like we’re already very similar so I feel like I’d actually want to be Mulan. She has a strength and confidence that I deeply admire.

why did u make ur studyblr/langblr?:  My friend had introduced me to the community a while back and while I really liked it, I saw a huge gap in people claiming that studyblr wasn’t all about aesthetic and the majority of what they actually posted. I figured the best way to fill that gap was to try to do some of the work myself. Also, I really really like giving advice, and that’s definitely what I see this blog being going forward.

what countries have you been to and where would you like to travel?: I’ve been to a few places around the US and also to Puerto Rico (still part of the US technically I know but let me have this). I always wanted to visit China as a child so I think that would be cool. Basically anywhere outside of the country would be cool, especially in the Latin America.

whats the best thing/ur favorite thing to happen this year?: I got into college, graduated high school, and started going to college in NYC! (Also there’s this girl in band I have a giant crush on and it turns out she also likes me so we’ll see where it goes but I’m super happy about it.)  Honestly, it’s been a shitty year for the world at large but decent year for me personally.

what’s your favorite tv show and why?: It’s a tie between two (sorry).

Leverage: it’s a show where the good guys always win and they’re taking down corrupt CEOs while they do it. also found family and heists/cons are the fastest way to my heart.

Farscape: I love campy sci-fi with all my heart and this hits every note: puppet aliens, non-humanoid aliens, a man from Earth stranded in space. (also found family and a really good slow burn, as well as some really smart writing)

who would u pick for people’s sexiest man alive instead of blake shelton?: Literally anyone else. Maybe Oscar Isaac or Idris Elba (or Hayley Atwell or Lupita Nyong'o because i love women)

what’s your favorite album of all time?: I tend to not listen to entire albums, but if I had to pick, I’d go with Wicked because it was the first musical I really loved.

If you could study anything w/o having to worry about difficulty or job prospects, what would you study?: Creative Writing probably. I love writing but literally my creative writing teacher in high school warned me not to study it because there are no jobs.(so i’m probably studying english instead lol)

describe ur aesthetic: messy gay writer/librarian/english major who loves and fears space. once described by a friend as “a 20-something blogger”

if you could have one trip in a time machine would you go to the past or the future?:  The future. I want to make sure we’re all okay.

is all of them an acceptable answer??? if i have to pick, I’d probably have to say dragons or mermaids because if i could ride a dragon, i could die happy and mermaids are just really fucking cool!! i’d also say the fae in general, but we really don’t need that chaotic energy in the world in 2019.

snapdragon; have you ever met or seen in person a celebrity?

suprisingly yes! I met Polar Express author Chris Van Allsburg and poets Franny Choi and Phil Kaye at different events at my high school. I saw author Ishmael Reed when I went to a reading of a new play this winter and I covered an event with Cory Doctorow for our school blog! so mostly nerdy meetings; despite living in nyc i’ve not had a weird celebrity siting like so many of my friends.

lunaria; what’s your favorite fictional universe?

fuck this is such a good (and incredibly hard) question. There’s a bunch and it’s always changing so my short list is: Harry Potter (despite JKR being JKR lately), the Uncharted Territories from Farscape, the Underland from The Underland Chronicles, Fablehaven. I feel like there’s a big one I’m forgetting but oh well.

Only 1, unfortunately. I’ve been around the US and to Puerto Rico (which is technically part of the US) but I hope to travel more when I’m older.

38. Do you eat breakfast every morning?

I used to be really good about this in high school but since starting college, my eating schedule has been very inconsistent. I try most of them time though.

46. What flavor tea do you enjoy?

I haven’t experimented much with teas yet, but I really enjoy chamomile. Also once i bought this really good pumpkin spice tea that I haven’t been able to find again.

📘 what is your favourite subject? oh this is such a hard one, because there’s subjects i want to learn & subjects that i’m learning now!! i suppose i’m loving psychology now & indonesian literature!

🌗 are you a morning or night studier? as much as i want to please my mom by studying in the morning (usually with my pre-ritual of making caffeine drinks lmao), i prefer the silence & time-constraint provided at night-time, oops.
