A great interview with Dr. Stuart McGill, an expert on the spine, relating to CrossFit. He has several issues with CrossFit, from programming to excessive risk. He also finds an interesting lack of carry over or transference of skill from high intensity and high reps training (eg CrossFit) to firefighters, when compared with those trained with a coach stopping them during training because of issues with form. Definitely a must read!

Dr. Vojta, a student of Janda, has some studies that showed that people with strokes that lost the ability to walk and talk regained the ability to... walk and talk without any additional therapy other than... learning to "roll over" again like a baby.
Many may wonder... "what does this have to do with a workout or working out or exercise?" The answer is this... what does learning to count to 10 have to do with calculus? The FUNDAMENTALS are what enable the challenging things or "hard things" whereas most people focus on the "hard things" without mastering the fundamentals.
