Sky #2
Just as strong as the first episode.
The script makes good use of the various supporting characters to create a tension-filled b-story.
The a-story is all about the mysterious Sky and his attempts to understand where he is, and find a way off the planet.
But the b-story is the one with all the urgency. A second character becomes aware of Sky while a third character follows the small group. And the fathers of the young people get involved, too. Leading to a confrontation, where Sky (temporarily) injures someone.
With it’s ticking-clock and constant moving from location to location, this works well as a thriller. As well as (somewhat talky) sci-fi.

Sky #1
A well-made and atmospheric first episode which drops hints and reveals very little.
Most of the episode follows an abrasive young man named Arby. We see him helping out on a pheasant hunt, and we learn that he’s been in trouble in the law. His sister and a friend of hers are hanging around with him, but he ditches them pretty early on.
In the woods he finds a mysterious naked stranger. By the time we get to the second half, Arby has hidden the stranger in a secret hideaway he uses.
In these scenes we hear the alien explain his backstory for the first time, and we get an impression of who he might be. Some of what happens in amusing, as Arby clearly thinks the visitor is insane.
Arby makes an interesting main character, as he is clearly not as sympathetic as his two friends. It’s a good storytelling choice.
