Exam
She was there, sitting on the bench, looking as if she were about to fall asleep at noon. Under her green eyes, were these bags which stemmed from her apparent lack of sleep. Her skin was so pale that someone could mistake her for a vampire, the only thing stopping them was the fact that she was sitting in the sun. “Hey,” I said quietly. “Hello,” she croaked. “What’s wrong? What happened to you?” I worried. “I can’t take it anymore, all the stress, I feel like I’m dying. These past six months have been horrendous, all I’ve done is study, day in, day out. I’m not getting enough sleep, the quality of my sleep has fallen. I’ve resorted to sleeping during the classes the teachers don’t care about, one day someone even brought me a blanket and a pillow, I don’t know who, but it’s become a habit. I’m thankful, I just wish that all the homework I got was easier and that the exam was over. My birthday was last month and I refused to do anything because I was too tired, all I wanted was rest. The last time someone gave me a hug was on my birthday, I haven’t eaten much these past few weeks. I’m just thankful that I’ll be done with it next week and it’ll all be over.” “Come here,” I pulled her into a hug and squished her. I felt bad for her, although she was right, there was only one more week left.
