Since right now I feel like I need some cute Kabal/Stryker moments I figure you all did too.
1)
Stryker is more focused on work than taking care of himself. It will be 6pm at night and Kabal would ask him is he ate anything fro dinner yet. Stryker would say he’s fine, stating he had an apple earlier...
To which Kabal will point out “The apple you had this morning, Mr. I’ll-be-fine-with-just-this?”
When Stryker doesn’t reply, Kabal knows he’s caught him and drag his dumb boyfriend off to actually eat a proper meal.
2)
Kabal...hates...bugs. Stryker had to literally talk him down from setting HIS apartment on fire because Kabal found a spider in the shower.
Landlord still hasn’t been given the details as to why there were gashed in the tub when Stryker moved out.
3)
Kabal met Stryker in a seedy bar when Stryker was off duty. Styker not giving really any fucks as to where he was, and just wanted a few good drinks from a hard day.
Not letting anyone bother him, despite everyone KNOWING the dude was a flipping cop.
4)
Kabal has SO MANY STORIES of Stryker being a dumb blonde.
And Stryker KNOWS if he pissed him off, they will com out.

Kenshi was tense. He wanted to jump in. He felt like he needed to.
“You cannot interfer,” Ermac stated.
“But what if he--”
“Kenshi...we are...grateful that you wish to aid us. However, if you do, that could ruin the chance to see if we can pull him through.”
“Fine...I’m not going to enjoy it though,” Kenshi huffed, unable to push down the irrational feelings rising up inside. He was certain he was more...constrained in handling his emotions.
But perhaps, not so much anymore.
Ears picking up the sound of Ermac being forced to the ground...he couldn’t tell if they were doing this on purpose; or if Stryker was truly overpowering them.
With Ermac’s current state, either were possible.
Ermac stayed down. They may not another chance...they held out their hand, still curled tight holding the box.
Stryker sneered and stomped down on the sentinel’s wrist, pinning it under his foot. The pain and shock had Emrac open their hand, revealing the box.
In that moment, the tension in the air shifted. It went from hostile and violent, to...unsure and questioning. Stryker reached down and took the small box.
Faded memories stirred within the revenant’s mind. Slow moving and at some points just unable to finish, dissolving into white. It wasn’t until Stryker opened the box to see the ring inside. As bright and nearly as pristine as it was when he first bought it.
It took a while to save up enough for it. But it was worth it.
HE was worth it.
Stryker had to scoff at himself for such a sappy thought. It was true but still. He snapped the ring box close. Tonight he was going to do it. He was going to be the one to make the step this time.
He put the box in his locker just as Kabal joined him.
“So chief gave us--”
“Patrol duty,” Stryker answered before the other could finish.
“Again?”
“I think she does it becu--”
“Nah nah, I get why,” Kabal waved him off. “People are dicks here.”
“Kabal,” Stryker warned. It wasn’t that he disagreed with the other, but more of how loud he stated it. Hard enough people gave Kabal a proper chance, with his past and all. But now…
He shook his head. Well, what was done was done.
“So...just me an’ you out there?”
“Always is,” Stryker said as he closed his locker. “Hey, after this shift...I gotta ask you something.”
Ok so back onto my earlier post about the revenants and how if pulled out (like Kung Lao) rather than released (like Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Jax), that SOME lingering effects could remain.
The yellow vein-though not as bright cause perhaps their skin returns to a more ALIVE and healthier tone-and maybe a slight yellow tinge to their eyes still.
But if they are fully released they are fully free from the changes...
But I just feel the Stryker may not be lucky in this. Just imagining everyone else returned to how they were...BUT him.
Simply because HE’S human. No special abilities or magic. The Netheream energy latching onto him the easiest for that reason alone. It latched and became a part of him.
He maybe freed but he’s not going to be the same...
Though plus side...Kabal would totally make the joke about how:
“I always said you were so pale you’d glowed in the dark.”
