If you simply want to make some alcohol with your Instant Pot and drink it so that you know you can (been there), then Instant Pot wine is for you.

I won’t be doing it again though. Here are three reasons why.

Having to tie up our Instant Pot for two days to make wine was a lot of extra work to obtain a temperature of 80 F. Furthermore, it’s not necessary since we live in a famously warm climate (i.e. California). Having our Instant Pot smelling like wine yeast and needing to run two pressure cook cycles to get rid of it is a bummer too.

The taste is exactly like fermented Welch’s grape juice. Not bad, just not at all like real wine. Drinking the wine with ice is okay though, as sort of a funky wine cooler.
