    𝓐 rather annoyed stare left lingering silence after the strongarm commented that he wasn’t going to let it go. Whether the tracker wanted him to or not, there seemed to be no fighting his answer. Crossing his arms over his chest, Alistair let out a quiet sigh through his nasal passage. “--You do realize that I’m here to see Carlisle... Not your... what is it... Highest of scores you say? On some sort of games, you play on a device of sorts.” The Englishman protested. Though unfortunately from the lack of company, none of which was Carlisle... Alistair’s options were dwindling at a rapid rate.

Emmett paused, lowering his hand that was now intertwined with Jess’ as he looked over to her.  “Was I being ‘too extra’ again?”

“Hey kiddo!” Peter threw open his apartment’s door and ushered Emmett inside, his smile bright and teasing. “How was your day at school, you need a juice box?” 

“Most of our kind don’t take the news so easily”

He had anticipated many reactions, resentment, anger, fear...this nonchalant attitude was almost a shock of a surprise. Emmett reacted to the news of his new life almost as calmly as someone would react to being told they had worn their shirt inside out. 

“I will teach you everything I know about it. How to control the urge to feed on humans...how to survive.Perhaps you could teach me something to, how to not be bothered by worrysome news perhaps-” Carlisle tried to joke.

“I’m not too sure about that. At least with a motel you don’t have to share your living space.”
