I tried my best on the string through drilling. But failed miserably. The holes are ok on the top but the pin system I made up didn’t work. My ferrule holes on the back aren’t evenly spaced and the string through holes aren’t in the center of the forstner point. Has anyone had this problem and fixed it? I’m guessing I have to make a string retainer block out of brass or ebony and inlay it into the back of the guitar now. Very bummed and discouraged! Refretted the neck, scraped the paint away from the body, sanded it and put an oil finish on it. Changed the tremolo to a string through solution, and fixed the bridge. The guitar got a new pickguard and wiring.
