We had won a photo contest by them about a month back. . . I have already begun few experiments using Bloomstix and Greenstix on our #Kokedamas. I will carefully note down the observations. . Although all our Kokedamas use natural resources, home-prepared nutrition like natural compost, Vermicompost, bioenzymes and specially prepared enzymes, cowdung ash aka agnihotra ash, we haven't been using any other supplements. While we have been very successful for several years doing chemical-free practices, what I notice is that not all our clients are able to care for their plants in completely natural ways, and they find it challenging to raise good quality Kokedamas. I trust that these supplements are not too harsh on the environment, and I definitely suggest my clients to take up this lazy option! . . The very fact that the this idea is slow release nutritional sticks, it tells me that it has less probabilities of contaminating our soil and our water. So that's a bonus!! . . For Kokedamas DM us. . . Too many surprises happening at NIRVANA GARDEN! . . This ~ Clementis vitalba plant, which was made into a Kokedama more than a month ago, while it was looking fresh and beautiful for first five days, it profusely bloomed with white sweet fragrant flowers... then slowly deteriorated and the flowers and the leaves withered away. I had also gone ahead and made 2 more Kokedamas of the same plant when I guessed it would settle. All 3 looked as if they are giving up. Then I conclusively deduced that some plants go through intense shock when their roots get disturbed. Moreover I thought that this plant is a bad idea for Kokedama. . While I thought that this was the end of the experiment, I have the habit of always waiting patiently, gracefully and positively when nature changes its course, till the entire cycle comes to a complete end. . And that was all worth it. . . Nature changed its course yet again giving life to all 3 Clementis Kokedama. This plant is also called ~ Travellers Joy. . I like to call it - Growers Joy!!! . . They are profusely giving out shoots and foliage, I noticed buds too...all in a blink of an eye I must say. It was all so fast, while I was busy focused on other things, despite that I managed to give the 3 Kokedamas adequate amount of love and care. . . HOW MUCH NATURE TEACHES US LIFE!!!! . . . So this was the Show Stopper at the AwhGUST sale yesterday... . . We had a couple of other Kokedamas that were almost show-stoppers, but the way this one was attractive, and catchy...that we artfully (I mean artfully!!!) protected it for quite a while keeping it as an exhibit more than a piece for sale (some selling strategies 😉)... . . Although it was a reserved piece (reserved by a friend in a friendly manner)....Finally we let go to a client towards the end of the second day, who was yet another sincere fan of the Show Stopper!!! . . And many of you to whom I promised that I will get you this... PROMISE IS A PROMISE, please push me, goad me, nag me, badger me...or may be none of it, I promise to get you. For many of us who found this plant rare (includes me) and not knowing name (including me), not knowing the genus, phyllum, species (not in an order) . . This is known as the ~Lipstick plant (although there is another different plant with same name, and it's not that) , this one is also called the ~ Pagoda vine or the ~ Aeschynanthus. . . Now the good news is that - IT WILL FLOWER. . My Laksh aka Laksmi, my Kokedama helping partner kept saying in the last one month that this will flower, and she was also saying that intuitively and by observation!!! . These #Kokedamas are now resting after receiving their final touches. They are ready for the Sale Table tomorrow. . . These twine wrapped Kokedamas, warped in sacred thread to not just give it a hint of colour, but the good healing vibes. . While I was giving them their final dose of water to sustain them for their journey till their new home...I just felt like adding something more to the water... I used few drops of the sacred water from the sacred river. I always have storage of sacred water at home. That's a traditional practice. . . As bizzare as it may be, it gives me a wonderful feeling that these beauties will go to a space to give good vibes to its new plant parent. .
