Broadly, pet pheromones mimic soothing or acquiescent chemicals that pets naturally produce to encourage a soothed or acquiescent state in the pet. Pets must actively imbibe pheromones so the process is not ambient or automatic and may take 4-6 weeks of pheromone exposure to have an impact.
