He had not been in America long and he did not desire to be. Not that it was a bad place, but Judah took certain objections to it, especially as he was traveling and had to sleep and eat among strangers. It wasn’t so bad in New York, where people still looked him in the eyes, but in Illinois people seemed to look him in the kippah.

His bones showed through his sweating hands as he sat on the cot, grotesque and trembling, a strange green color in the light, they seemed disconnected from his body, too cold and grey.

The boy who entered the room was quite a shock to Judah. He was slick like the rest, that American cool that Judah entirely lacked, but also put together in another way. Maybe he wasn’t from Illinois.

9 : do animals like them? do they get on well with animals? 

animals are relatively indifferent towards benji. some that are quite sensitive may get a little nervous around him due to his demeanor, but they generally react normally to him. he only really gets on well with cats because they don’t really mind if he’s near him or not. also he likes to scratch their tummies.

18 : what’s their favorite genre of books, music, tv shows, films, video games?

he hates reading. absolutely hates it. he likes trendy crappy rap music about drugs and head, lo-fi, punk, and pink floyd. he doesn’t really watch television except for the eric andre show when he’s really stoned, so i guess comedy. he quite likes horror films, as well as horror games. he also likes first-person shooter games.
