Pretty boy

          He nodded slightly. “ Something…is around you. I know it’s bothering you. ” Roman shook his head slightly and looked at the waitress as she came over with their food. “ Ah, thank you. It smells delicious. ” Grabbing his knife and fork, he looked at Pascal. “This place has fantastic waffles. ”

his eyes snapped up to look at the other man, his heart shuddering in his chest. something around him ?? did Roman sense a spirit around him ?? did he know that Pascal was haunted or did he simply see his anxiety so vividly crawling across his skin. he looked down at the food as it was placed before them as if it’s appearance was overwhelming. he felt the emptiness in his stomach and the craving for food but he couldn’t find it in him to eat in that moment. he swallowed, thinking carefully about his next words. “ ... can you feel her too ?? “ the words fell past his lips like frosted breath in the cold. 

Anthony shook his head and leaned forward, hovering over the boy. “ you wouldn’t want mine. ” his forehead lightly touched his and his hands wandered more, slipping under the hem of his shirt to tease his bare skin. “ It’s ugly. ” like all the things inside him. his mind. his thoughts. his motives. but, he could forget about that with a pill that made everything bright and exotic. he could lose himself in the grain of someone’s hair and the warmth of their skin. he wanted this boy to touch a little more, touch a little deeper. “ you can have something else instead. ”

the boy let out a slow hum, biting his bottom lip as he closed his eyes and allowed himself to feel the delicate touch of his fingertips gliding along the sensitive skin of his stomach and pelvis. he shifted up a bit to feel more of his touch and let his eyes slide open to see him. “ how can the world be so beautiful and so ugly underneath ?? “ 

Angel looked up towards their boy once Beau started leading the way, grinning widely with a chuckle while running ahead of his shorter bandmate. He weaved his way through the crowd, still holding Beau’s hand loosely before reaching Pascal and hugging him close once reaching him. As much as he hated being away for so long, he couldn’t deny that the saying distance makes the heart grow fonder was definitely true, because it only took a few days for his demeanour to change after being apart from his brunette boyfriend for too long. He often found himself yearning for when the three would be back together and wouldn’t have to worry about another tour for a while, this time he already knew they had at least three months before getting back on the road and even that didn’t seem like enough time sometimes. “I missed you,” he whispered softly while looking at him with a soft smile.

Beau giggled softly at Angel running off ahead, chasing after him quickly while waving to Pascal happily. He loved his band and his concerts, but he couldn’t lie and say that he wished there were more shows closer to home or that they could bring Pascal with them instead of leaving him here. Once they reached Pascal, he smiled widely at him, reaching over to rub his back gently while Angel hugged him, probably a bit too tightly, though that seemed to just be a trait for their teddy bear like boyfriend. He giggled happily and nudged Angel’s side. “We both missed you,” he corrected with a soft smile.

the collision of their bodies was a wave crashing against the shore, a beautiful crashing of love after a long time of being apart. as Angel enveloped him in a hug, a deep and refreshing breath filled his lungs to capacity before being released in a slow sigh of relief. his arms curled around him and his eyes lulled shut and he held him tight to his body, leaning up towards his warmth. “ Angel... “ he breathed out. he felt the soft reassurance of the hand on his back. “ Beau... “ he smiled, fighting back the tears that threatened to build up behind his eyes. the hug was incredibly tight, maybe a bit too tight for his fragile frame, but it felt good - Angel’s signature hugs felt like home. he tilted his head and placed a loving kiss on his cheek. he didn’t want to let go, but he was craving a hug from Beau as well and he wanted to get home so he could kiss and hug them without the public eye on their backs. “ I missed my boys, “ he let out in a soft chuckle. “ how was your trip ?? “

SHOES

      It really did not go unnoticed the other was having some issues of his own. He as on edge and that made Roman wonder what was going on in his head. Made him wonder what he wasn’t picking up and what was not allowing him to feel or see. After the other spoke about his food, his soft expression fell into a more serious one. “ Is…is everything alright? You seem distracted or on edge. Do you want to talk about it? You can tell me about it. Maybe, well maybe I can help. ”

Pascal’s eyes were shifting around the room as Roman spoke, unable to meet his gaze, especially as he began to catch on to his odd behavior. he dropped his eyes to the table and tore at the napkin into little shreds. “ no, I’m fine. just... just a little - over tired, you know ?? “

       Roman’s gaze fell down, eyes shutting as he let the tears run down his face. He wished this was a dream and he would wake up. Maybe he fell asleep watching some movie but that never came. This was reality and he had really killed the other’s brother.       “ I… ” He couldn’t continue to apologising knowing very well it would do no difference. It would not bring the other’s brother back alive. This was a mistake. Fuck. Bringing himself together, he slowly pushed himself up onto his knees. Trying to stand only lead to him collapsing back onto the floor.

time seemed to still to the younger boy in a sickening way, a way that a certain understanding settled on his shoulders. Henry’s spirit knowingly moved around to face him, his figure seeming so there it was astounding: like there were two of him. Pascal looked up as his brother’s hand guided him to and seeing him there, the younger brother understood. Henry wouldn’t find peace if Pascal let this ruin him, and even if he wasn’t there in the same way, Pascal’s horrifying ability or illness or whatever it really was, allowed him to hold onto him in a different way. he was allowed to grieve, of course, but he wasn’t allowed to mark this as the end.  Roman’s collapse caught both of the brothers’ attention and Henry turned back to Pascal and whispered in his ear. the younger boy couldn’t look away from the man he loved, fighting the agony in his chest as the words nestled in. he nodded and looked down at his brother’s corpse once more. sluggishly, burdened by grief, he leaned down with a soft sob and kissed his forehead before gently lying him on the ground. he sat for a moment, just looking at him there, trying to make sense of the image. he reached out and gently closed his eyes for him, making him appear as if he were asleep. Henry’s ghost watched solemnly, but more watched Pascal than anything. even in death he was looking out for him... Pascal then turned back to him, to his brother’s accidental killer, the love of his life. it took everything in him to move, to lift himself up on hands and knees. he crawled over to Roman, his body heavy and weak, practically dragging his limbs behind him. when he reached him, he held his breath, seeing only the shell of a man as well as the shell of himself. “ Roman... “ he croaked out in utter pain. he let out a quiet sob as he gently took the man’s face in his hands and guided him to look up at him.

Anthony stood up between the other’s legs and straddled him, thigh over thigh, hip to hip. he smoothed both of his hands on his chest now and dropped them slowly down the length of his torso, his mind existing solely in the soft fibers of his shirt under his fingertips. “ do you trust me with it? ” catching a heart was a big deal and anthony knew himself well enough to know how easily it could all go wrong. “ because i might want to keep it. ”

anthony took the thumb into his mouth. it was inevitable. he was a nibbler. a sucker, but he was gentle. no teeth. “ hm? “ he cocked his head to the side and pressed more firmly onto the boy’s chest. faintly, he could detect the flutter of his heartbeat. “ really? is that what that is? “ he let go of the digit and leaned down to place his ear to his chest. god, he was warm and his shirt was the softest thing- almost as soft as his hand. anthony rubbed his cheek against him, still listening to that rapid pitter-patter, and wrapped his arms around the boy’s middle. “ it’s your heart. it’s running away. “

Pascal bit his lip as he watched the boy take his thumb into his mouth, feeling something of an electric shock going through his body. he giggled and blushed, looking away as the other boy looked at him in that curious manner. he felt the weight of his head on his chest, and automatically ran his fingers through his hair. “ mm... “ he sighed, his eyes falling shut as the other cuddled into him. “ you’re so... you’re so... cozy. “ he looked down at the other with eyes slowly widening at the mention of his heart running away. “ catch it for me ?? “

Roman let Pascal cry on him, simply hugging the boy to him and rubbing his back slowly. He pressed soft kisses to his shoulder, trying his best to comfort his young lover. “I love you too baby. ” Roman whispered back. “Do you want to talk about it?” He asked, pretty sure of the answer but giving the option.

Roman waited patiently, softly stroking Pascal’s cheek as he waited for the boy to come back to him. He could feel him relaxing, hear his breath slowing. Roman smiled softly when Pascal finally opened his eyes again. “Hey hey hey no. Don’t do that that. Baby it’s okay. Everything’s fine, don’t be sorry. You’re human sweetheart, sometimes you’ll forget. And we fixed it. The night is not ruined at all.” He assured Pascal, drawing the crying boy into his embrace.
