Sao takes immediate notice of the tall eliksni at the crossed path, their arms full with recovered Vanguard supplies from uluran looters. Their gaze brightens, they recognize him from Misraaks' house, but they have yet to know his name. The awoken approaches him, calling in a friendly voice, ❝ Velask, friend! Mind if I ask what brings you out here? Perhaps we’re going the same way. ❞
He’d been a great warrior, once, saw to it that his warring forces razed the landscapes of Humanity for being so lucky as to have the Light on their side. Centuries of this, death and violence and rot for something that they could not have again no matter how hard they wore their hatred (and desperation).
Moments came and went often as to their place in this system now, beneath the grand shape that sat motionless in the sky above. Namrask sees Riis in the outline of buildings, remembers the Whirlwind between the days, and shudders. Perhaps it will be different, this time, he tells himself. Maybe the Guardians will make a difference and Eliksni and Humanity might yet shoulder this seemingly endless war.
Namrask grows tense when a voice drifts to him, pushing himself up to his feet swiftly and staring downwards at the Guardian approaching him. They do not sound upset, but it cannot full ebb the dry sense of worry that someone might recognize him and his horrors.
“Enjoying the quiet,” he states simply. Their language still feels wrong in his mouth but as many others were, he was certainly making an attempt to communicate. “Thinking.”
