I find that after running a big goal race where you've trained hard for months, there can be a bit of a lull. You ease of the gas for a bit of welcome recovery, if you're me, you get a stinking cold as your immune system packs in, and before you know it three weeks have passed, you've barely done a mile and you can't really remember what it feels like to be a runner. At this point you need something to give you a jump start. A new race to aim at perhaps, a run with a friend that reminds you how good it feels to move or an event that inspires you to reach for the next high bar. 🏃♂️🏃♂️ After Hamburg I needed that jolt and this weekend I got it at the @Nightofthe10kpbs. I only ran a mile but doing so in the middle of that celebration of running with so much energy on the track, it was all I needed to stoke the fire. 🏃♂️🏃♂️ How long does everyone take off after a big run and how do you get going again? Do you always need another race to aim at? #ukrunchat #stravarunning
