FAQ055 How is the sample size determined?
For the consideration of ranking, Great Place To Work® Institute considers a statistically valid representative sample which is a subset of the overall employee strength. However, participating organisations have an option of increasing this sample depending on how they wish to utilize the survey data. They can connect with their respective Assessment Managers from Great Place To Work® Institute to discuss the same.
The participating organisation should discuss and finalise the scope of coverage and customisation of demographics, if required, prior to the survey launch date. Great Place To Work® Institute will draw a random sample based on the scope finalised and share the same with the participating organization before administering the survey.
The sample would be drawn based on the stratifier chosen by your organization. The sample drawn will represent your organization's actual population proportionately across that demographic. For instance, if you choose 'Grade/Level' as the stratifier, the sample would be drawn in following manner:
