For the consideration of ranking, Great Place To Work® Institute considers a statistically valid representative sample which is a subset of the overall employee strength. However, participating organisations have an option of increasing this sample depending on how they wish to utilise the survey data. They can connect with their respective Assessment Managers from Great Place To Work® Institute to discuss the same.

The sample would be drawn based on the stratifier chosen by your organization. The sample drawn will represent your organization's actual population proportionately across that demographic. For instance if the stratifier chosen is ‘Department’, the sample drawn will represent your organization's Departments proportionately. Assuming a population size of 500 and sample size of 100, the representation in the sample will be spread in the following manner:

Yes, you need to fill in the data fields for all the employees as per the employee data submission template provided to you on your dashboard. We need the employee names, employee codes, e-mail IDs, departments, grade/levels and location. The client needs to fill in the details required in that sheet and then upload it on the dashboard.  

The sampling will be done based on the stratifier that you choose from these demographics. This also helps us in providing data for customised demographics.

The Great Place to Work® Trust Index© survey has the highest regard for maintaining the confidentiality of the survey respondents. We do not share the list of appeared or non-appeared candidates with the organisation. The intention of the organisation may be only to follow up for the survey responses, but this is an absolute rule for us and cannot be modified.

During the survey administration period, your Assessment Manager will be following up with the non-appeared candidates to submit their survey responses. 

The employee survey is administered on a random sample of the employees and the number of employees to be covered is arrived upon based on the engagement objectives and the scope of the project. It is mandatory for the engaging organization to share a list of all employees on the organization’s official pay roll across all functions and levels. Please note that all employees across levels, functions, locations etc. must be included in this list without any exceptions. Leaving any set of employees from the scope of survey will lead to disqualification from being considered for the Best Workplaces List – India’s Best Companies to Work For.

Only exceptions that could be considered are:

• Contractual employees • Unionized employees • Employees working as interns • Newly joined who have not yet included in the payroll
