I think it would be really funny if in your ES au, Optimus has an entire underground system specifically to get Decepticons to safety (hey, maybe that’s where Thundercracker is!) and every time Megatron gets mad at him for handing the Decepticons over to GHOST Optimus has to bite his tongue because the Decepticons DO NOT WANT Megatron to know about their hiding space.
I've been meaning to make this post for a while, but I honestly think this would work canonically. I think that between Megatron and Optimus, even if the Decepticons hate Optimus, there is a level of respect because he would never betray the Autobots the way Megatron did the Decepticons. whether Megatron's betrayal is something that had to be done, or something he was tricked into doing or felt he had to do for the greater good, that doesn't change the fact that a lot fo the deceptcions feel betrayed by what he did and in result end up getting tortured / experiemnted on.
That said - this would make sense. Optimus starting a small underground system to rescue Decepticons and even in a way, reform them? Yes, I would love that. If this is based on my previous AU, I DEF think that Starscream and him would be doing this together, and in secret. Soundwave and Tarantulas would also help. In fact, I think Tarantulas would also let his own hiding spot be used as a type of place for Decepticons to hide.
I agree - Optimus handing over cons to GHOST makes it seem like he's sentencing them to prison, but he knows he's going to save them. he however, cannot tell Megatron this because he'd lose all trust in the Decepticons, so this is something he has to balance on his own. He can't even tell the other Autobots.
I was in a Gargoyle AU mood.
1st pic: Bumblebee and my Oc, Joltburst (shatter and dropkick’s kid) on a very awkward, father and son in law patrol.
2nd pic: Arcee vs Starscream fight that I’m super proud of lol.
3rd pic: A Steeljaw and Strongarm comic cause I couldn’t help myself.

TFA Slipstream: The mystery iron maiden
Hello, Transformers fans. I have a bold confession; I was not a fan of the Transformers Animated series as I found it a bit all over the place and had trouble finding its footing. Also, the ending felt rushed and incomplete. However, I did like things about the series such as the mysteries. One gem of a mystery that left behind was what the most unforgettable and unique Starscream clone represented; Slipstream.
I know that Derrick Wyatt once stated that what she was meant to represent was supposed to be left as a mystery, but I think there is an explanation as to what she represents and why she is female. I found it very intriguing that in this story, each Starscream clone represented a different part of himself and she is the one female clone, so I actually did research on the psychological aspects of personality traits. While it is not cookie cutter or end all be all, it is a fact that even though we are biologically one gender, psychologically, different parts about our personality are “male” or “female” hence why the feminine and masculine sides are a spectrum not black or white. In other words, Starscream is a male, different parts of his personality are masculine or feminine. This is why it is possible for a female clone of himself is possible if they are a manifestation of a specific personality trait. Slipstream is a female because she is a personality trait that is feminine. As for which feminine personality trait she represents specifically, I warn in advance that it is not a positive one which makes sense because Starscream is a bad guy, so his feminine side will most likely be bad too. If we analyze how Slipstream acts, she is very mean, verbally abusive and doesn’t have one nice thing to say about anyone including herself at times. Yes, she is intelligent, but then again, all of the clones seem to display intelligence and self-awareness. She is just the loudest about it. She is also extremely spiteful to the point of being violent in which she attacked Optimus mistaking him for Starscream simply because she didn’t like him. With all of these facts at hand, I think I have solved the mystery behind what Slipstream represents.
Ladies and gentlemen, Slipstream represents Scorn. If you want a further proof, here is the online dictionary definition of what scorn means; “ the feeling or belief that someone or something is worthless or despicable; contempt. “
This is Slipstream to the letter and it is most definitely a trait that is very strong in Starscream. His scornful side burns as bright as the sign and it is admittingly a feminine trait. When we think of scorn especially in this sense, we think of the nagging verbally abusive wife/girlfriend or mother. An abuser or bully who shouts, screams and belittles us, but rarely every physically abusive though occasionally is just out of anger or hate. Heck, when I first saw Slipstream, she immediately reminded me of the typical mean girl in high school or wife-from-hell in sitcoms.
So... that’s my hand at solving the mystery behind TFA Slipstream. I think she is Scorn and if Starscream had a chance to make more clones of himself which continued to trend of being different aspects of his personality, I think some other ones would have been female too like Vanity or something.
What do you all think? Do you agree or do you have other theories? Let me know and thank you for reading.
Have I mentioned yet how much I love Starscream’s true form?

Shattered Memo of the Day
Transformers Energon Starscream
This has to be one of my least favorite incarnations of Starscream. He’s just so... boring. He’s pretty much a drone, completely loyal until the end. That could very much get him destroyed (yes, I know what happens).
Gah.
I keep the five Revoltech G1 Transformers on a shelf in my office, in much the same way an ancient Roman would keep little statues of Mars and Venus to guide them.
Megatron represents power and desire. Starscream represent ego and ambition. Hot Rod represents brashness and the will to act. Ultra Magnus represents duty and selflessness. And Optimus - the head of the pantheon - represents leadership and courage.
Even though the proportions are a little off (they remind me of Street Fighter II manual art) these are some of my favourites. Especially Hot Rod.
