okay so the season 5 teaser just dropped and people are already spiraling over the couple shots - lumax, jopper, mileven, jancy. but here’s the thing: these clips are completely out of context. they’re designed to hype us up, not to give us answers. teasers are literally stitched-together moments that are meant to look dramatic and emotional, and that doesn’t always mean what we think it means.
take the lumax clip, for example. it’s lucas crying at max’s hospital bed. that’s not a romantic scene; it’s devastating. it shows us that even though we’re seeing couples, not every scene is about love or relationships. the emotion doesn’t always = romance.
then we get jopper. yeah, maybe it seems like a calm or sweet moment, but again - we don’t know what’s happening. without context, we can’t say if it’s romantic or just a moment of relief or even a goodbye. same goes for mileven. there are already hundreds of breakdowns of how that scene might not be romantic, and honestly, it might not be. it could be them breaking up. it could be mike coming out. it could be anything. we. don’t. know.
and jancy? they’re both crying and clearly overwhelmed. is it romantic? maybe. or maybe it’s a breakup, or one of them is about to die. point is - we cannot draw conclusions from five-second clips without knowing the story around them.
so yeah. it’s cool to theorize and analyze, but let’s not act like these clips confirm anything. they’re literally meant to confuse us. that’s what teasers do. we don’t know what any of this means until we actually see it in context.
