your ocs. whats their relationship like with their parents/guardians/mentors? does it change through their story?

this is a fun question, especially for owl. due to the... unique circumstances of their creation they dont technicallyyy have any biological parents. the closest they have to that is Erosia, the guardian of life. however, she was pretty distant being a god and all, and couldnt directly take care of them- owl didnt even know they were created by erosia until she spoke to them in their late teens.
however! they do have a parental figure!! Mune!
their relationship is... complicated. mune took owl (and their adoptive sister, butterfly) in after the village/forest they were protecting was destroyed. and for a while, they were happy!! mune wasnt perfect obviously but she still managed to do pretty well despite the active apocalypse happening around them.
until. one day, mune went missing and just- never came back. owl assumed she left on purpose, and ended up having to take care of butterfly on their own- which eventually resulted in butterfly dying.
owl mostly blames themself for everything that happened, and there was a time where they hated mune, but in the current story, the anger has kind of fizzled out- they dont know what to feel anymore, but they definitely do grieve mune despite their complicated feelings.
and then !! patch!! who also has a pretty complicated relationship with his parents but not nearly as much as owl lmao. his parents arent exactly abusive, but theyre definitely not good at parenting and didnt give patch the attention/support he needed. they were also very submissive to the group that forcibly took over their bunker, and when patch got in trouble and severely punished, losing both his eye and best friend, his parents did nothing about it. he doesnt hate them- patch is too scared to really hate anyone honestly- but he doesnt miss them.
finally, gummy <3 she has the healthiest relationship with her moms out of the trio. her moms arent anything grand, but theyve done pretty well, and gummy loves them deeply- her whole motivation right now is finding her family again after being separated from them.
