I loved school. Even though some teachers were pretty evil! My homelife was unstable so school was my saving grace. I threw myself into academics, debating, playing provincial squash, netball, swimming, cross country running, choir, drama & musical theatre. I was never home because I was already working on my art. Everything I did was to stay on the straight & narrow. Surprised?! That's okay. Most GoldinFans are gobsmacked when they find that out. But truth is, all successful people take the 'nerd' part seriously. We want to matter. We want to make a difference. We study hard. We are workaholics. Musicians to you are untouchable. Music to us is about perfecting notes, lyrics, choreography & artistry. It takes us years creating albums & tours. And all it takes for you to listen to one song is approximately 3minutes.
