A young artist confided that she was feeling great ANXIETY to achieve success QUICK as she compares herself to others. She's having trouble focusing on her art because of the pressure. Do you ever feel that way? 💥💥💥 My advice was: You have to change your perspective NOW and come to know this: every artist has their OWN path to take. 🔆 You can’t hop on someone else’s path to arrive at your own destination! 🎶 When Eddie Van Halen was a teenager, he played guitar day and night. While the other kids were out playing, he focused on mastering his art. Day and night, Eddie rarely left his bedroom, playing guitar for hours. In the beginning, people didn't understand his new style of music. But eventually, Eddie Van Halen's guitar style became iconic. 🎶 Artists that are becoming MASTERS at what they do never PAY ATTENTION to what OTHER artists are doing. They are TOO BUSY DOING THEIR OWN THING. They don’t compare or copy. 🎶 They focus on what THEY want, what THEY are inspired by, what THEY love. AND THEY THINK FOR THEMSELVES. 😜 If you want to be remembered and known for your art, do the same.
