Buuuut... this is basically just taking the characters i liked from there and scrapping the rest since the og plot line was, an im ashamed to admit as such, but it was a ripoff of some of the other vp fics I used to read at the time before writing DA... :,]

Tldr, best way i can describe the old story i did was a horribly paced flipflop between romance of two pairs and then a wedding where loads of ppl died and the rest tried to set up and lynch Pester... oh dear lord...

So! Im just scrapping that all together. I'll explain the idea in another post, ima just Copy/Paste from my reddit post abt it.

ANYWAYS!

Not gonna ping but I was taking a proper look through MoodleMcNoodle's stuff and I really liked their mask for Stardos and the goobas around him in one of the arts, and it gave me an idea that would be nice for my own.

Not sure if it's already been established, but the plot of the new story is gonna tie in a bit to the Feidos Gods, specifically Sornielle / Acasio, the god of dreams and stars. Feel free to look at @amy-the-architect / @acasios-logs for more! I love em! :#3

Sornielle is, as I said, the feidos god of stars, dreams and the mortal subconscious and their main worshipping populous, among humans, is in Piñata Island. In the original faith and traditions of Piñata Island, there is an intense respect for Goobahs, which were supposedly the God's favourite animals. Obviously, they didnt tell the mortals right? Right???

The idea for this is because of the whole "counting sheep" thing.

The same as I noticed a lot of residents in canon wear sleepwear-ajacent clothing, with simple designs for them, covered with patterns, along with either being barefoot or wearing slippers. Or slipper lookin things.

Wearing masks is also part of the old faith, specifically full face masks, as its seen as indecent to leave your face uncovered, though with time, cultural degradation can occur which is why some wear shorter ones or have more skin showing. More modernised areas of the island tend to have more minimalistic masks.

But anyhow, someone sacrificed a Goobah, and it made Sornielle mad. A curse was placed upon the island that states that "As the wool's blue blood is spilled, any mortal soul who steps upon the island will stow their roots." Basically that when your on the island, as a human, you lose your memories of the mainland and your time outside the island. Your memories are gradually stripped from you. Piñatas are the exception.

Which is my lovely explanation for why LANGSTON was in charge of Piñata Central. He's a talking Lickatoad. To any of the others, its all just nonsense locations they've never heard of, but to Langston, or Jeffe, who's half human, half piñata if i recall right, they are exempt from this curse.

Evidence that Stardos, Leafos, Storkos, and Seedos did get to be normal children to some extent. It means a lot I dunno. Especially with Stardos, the journal makes it seem like he had to be this little golden child all the time, like Jardiniero always had him helping in the garden. They had a little treehouse together... and Jardiniero never took it down...

AND THEY ALL (except Storkos) grew up to live in LITERAL treehouses not far away.
