The ice cave from the old DA story will be where Jardinero and the others went. It was an exhausting journey, and he'd gotten about halfway into the sour paste before finally realising what it was doing to him and the rest of them. They had to ditch it because it was going to hurt them if they kept going, and they had to go find food.

Thankfully, on the island they needed to get to, which was an icy extention of the Pinarctic, there was a few Polollybears, which they'd killed and harvested for food. But the closer they got to the cave, the more they realised there was just short of enough for them all. Maybe there'd be more in the cave. So they went in. Down the halls, through the smooth ice caves til finding a large open cavern, at the centre was a huge dragonache, with goobahs around them.

It was said in old texts that the adult dragonache was trapped within a deep, eternal slumber. And so, the group grabbed some of the goobahs, knowing that the dragonache wouldn't wake, yet still made the killing quick in case it wasn't as deep as it'd been said.

It was in that moment, as their blood spilt that their minds spun and their brains churned within their skulls. And along the clear icy walls, a towering figure appeared, many eyed, feathered, yet not quite feathered, with many wings, some covering itself, some not, and a chest cavity of teeth. Its form shifted endlessly, as if indecisive in its own design. And with its gaze, the group were asked whom they were. Wordless yet booming in their skulls, each syllable forming stars in their vision as the huge form below began to shift, large papery wings unfurling as its many eyes opened. The group would've ran were it not for the thoughts of how to run weren't being dragged away with every step they took.

Some got out, using their hands to pull themselves along. Their memories of their own past lives no longer standing with them, fuzzy and interceptable. Some lost their lives to infection. Some forgot how their lungs worked. Some forgot how their hands could grab things.
