Yooo any interactive stories app recommendations? Especially the ones with horror and sci-fi stories? Thank you!
š Senses'Ā Framed Murder This oneās incredible. It even had a CG so graphic that Apple banned the app until it was edited. The story follows an author being hunted by the very killer sheās writing about. You can either resist him or help him kill. But if you choose the latter, be warned: most of your love interests will either hate you or start to suspect you. It's deliciously tense.
āļøĀ Shades of Morality The art might throw you off at first, but trust me, the writing makes up for it. Iām currently helping the Mafia, knowing full well they might kill me someday, lol. But I prefer the twisted paths. What I love is how self-aware the MC is. She knows sheās doing something wrong but keeps convincing herself itās the only way. I love characters like that: delusional but aware.
š§āāļø Another Worldās History:Ā My Name is Hope Itās your classic zombie apocalypse setup, but the characters are so charming you wonāt care how familiar the plot feels. If you enjoyedĀ Telltaleās The Walking Dead, this oneās for you.
𧬠AWH also hasĀ Chimera A sci-fi horror that reminds me ofĀ LostĀ (the TV show), but itās more upfront about how terrifying and mysterious the island really is. Think secrets, conspiracies, and constant unease.
š§āāļø For a male MC, AWH hasĀ Parallels Short, affordable, and easy to finish. Itās a quick read with just enough intrigue to keep you interested.
š Your StorylandāsĀ City of Nightmares Dare I say it, itās better than any horror title RC has ever put out. It hits the right balance between mystery and clarity. It doesnāt spoon-feed you, but it also doesnāt try to be too vague. The only downside is that I donāt like any of the love interests, especially the cop. But the plot is strong enough that Iām still sticking with it. Rubies are also easy to earn in Your Storyland, especially with their frequent Ruby Festival events, which are like their version of Diamond Rush.
š StorapyāsĀ See You In Dreams This leans more toward psychological thriller than straight horror. It starts off slow but gets better. I was hesitant to play it at first as a Christian because one of the love interests is a priest, and some of the villains come from a monastery. Still, the writing is good enough that Iām able to overlook those aspects.
š StorapyāsĀ Story Nr.0 This is a sci-fi story I havenāt tried yet. But sinceĀ See You In DreamsĀ impressed me, Iām hopeful this one will be just as good.
š¦ Seven Hearts StoriesāĀ The Deadly Biome If you likedĀ The Villainās Last Wish, youāll probably enjoy this too since itās from the same author. Itās action-packed and has two difficulty modes: easy and hard. The hard mode really tests your patience and empathy. Your choices actually have consequences, and your MC and other characters can get injured depending on what you pick. The drama is incredibly satisfying. (P.S. Not horror, butĀ The Dragon Saga: RagnarokĀ is amazing. Just wanted to give it a quick shoutout.)
šŗĀ Law of the BeastĀ ā League of Dreamers ClichĆ© as it sounds, this story is unhinged in the best way. Itās the ultimate horror experience. While itās not as gory or violent as people make it out to be, the psychological torment the MC endures is deeply unsettling. This is horror done right.
šøĀ In Darkness EmbraceĀ ā League of Dreamers This one's sci-fi, and I say this as someone who usually doesn't vibe with the genre:Ā IDEĀ is one of the best books League of Dreamers has. Itās tightly written, emotionally gripping, and shockingly immersive.
In general, just explore League of Dreamers Their focus is mostly horror and sci-fi, and they do it with a consistent tone and great pacing.
š¦Ā Nightās EdgeĀ ā Lagerta This vampire story lets you choose your MCās stance: anti-vampire, pro-vampire, or pro-vampire with a twist (the kind who wants vampires to dominate society). The CGs and images aren't particularly graphic, but the writing gets vivid and intense. A solid pick for vampire fans who want more than just romance.
š¤Ā Mechanism of LoveĀ ā Lagerta A cyberpunk fan favourite, and for good reason. It was Lagertaās most popular title untilĀ Nightās EdgeĀ came along. The villain love interest here is unapologetically a villain, so if you enjoy morally grey or outright red flag characters, this is the book for you.
Current VN apps (that I actively play) that have slots
Romance Club
Another World's History
Lagerta (subscription)
Midnight Dreamers
League of Dreamers (developers said it's coming soon)
Your Storyland
Storapy
Seven Hearts Stories
I read a comment that managing 2 VN apps is exhausting. Me with 20+ VN apps on my phone...
Dont ask how my phone handles it. I also don't know
