Listen/purchase: Darkest of the Days by Stopwalk
This is my new band’s new electropop single.
I'm not terribly concerned about whether you buy a copy of the song but I would appreciate it if you could take three minutes to give it a listen and do a dance. It is ok to dance conceptually by thinking about dancing while not moving. And then if you like it, maybe listen to it again or tell someone else who you think would also like it. You could do the same dance or a different dance the second time, in reality or in your mind. It will sound fine on your phone and will also sound good through big speakers and a serious sound system.
Ultimately, this is an artwork about deciding to find yourself fabulous and embrace your self expression even knowing that there is a good chance some people will think it's bad and will not be shy about saying so. It is also about being attracted to other people who do similar things without turning around and judging yourself or getting into a competition.
Be homosexual about your art. Love your own beauty even if it's non-mainstream, or too mainstream. It's ok.

Boskone 62 Schedule (Feb 14-16, 2025)
These are the panels and performances where you can be pretty sure to see me if you're at the SF convention in Boston this weekend.
Biology in SF/F (Friday 2:30pm)
Real but unusual plants and animals can lead to the creation of aliens or fantastical creatures. Sue Burke's "Semiosis" and Adrian Tchaikovsky's "Children of Time" are just two examples. The panel will discuss these and other examples of fiction inspired by unusual flora and fauna in the real world.
True Crime in a Speculative World (Friday 4pm)
What would a true crime novel or documentaries look like in magical kingdom or dystopian society? Let’s go wild with the science and magic! Our panelists breakdown how speculative fiction could reimagine true crime narratives, focusing on morality, justice, and the human condition … with a dash of magic or far off science to tip the scales of justice.
The Most Important Books I Never Read (Sunday 11:30am)
Panelists discuss seminal books in SF/F/H they haven't read and why. (I'm the moderator. I'll keep it lively.)
Concert: Romie Stott (Sunday 12:30pm)
I'll be performing a 20-minute set of some Stopwalk songs that haven't been released yet, and some that have. None of them have ever been performed live. I can't express how rare it is to see me do this. No clue when/if you'll get another chance.
Plus I made some surrealist secret fan club buttons and I might give you one.
