Opinion: British Press and Racism
Racism and injustice are blatant in British journalists. Monarchy has centuries of existence. The royals have always spent a lot of money and often not theirs. They have always lived in palaces, wearing scandalously expensive jewels, wearing clothes of great creators.
One day, a woman descended from slaves enters this world and this is the scandal.
And since they can't openly use the word "N". They have found another angle of attack. It's well known, black people can't have beautiful things unless they steal them. So, the press mixed the clothes and jewelry that belonged to Meghan before her marriage with the clothes and jewelry purchased after the wedding to inflate the amount of her expenses.
🚨 Here is the first stereotype: the black woman is expensive.
Then, as for all white supremacists, blacks are a threat. So, here is Meghan arguing with Kate, the English rose. Of course, there are always two versions to a story but of course to stick to their opinions, the media were quick to say that it was the fault of Meghan.
🚨 Here is the second stereotype: The black woman is aggressive, always angry.
Then, it's well known, the blacks are lazy and inferior to the white man. So, here is an educated, intelligent black woman who is aware of her value. She knows the value of work and brings within the monarchy her strong work ethic. The press hastens to describe her as difficult, authoritarian, imposing. For the defense of the British media, they can't understand because they themselves don't know how to work. They don't know how to do simple research so they can't understand a woman who works at dawn.
🚨 Here is the third stereotype: The black woman is demanding, They like to impose themselves, they don't know their place .
When Harry formalized his relationship with Meghan, the British media rushed to make false investigations on her. If they had taken the time to analyze every Tig article, every Instagram post, they would have discovered the truth about her and would have prevented their lack of professionalism from being an embarrassment to the country.
There are some examples that prove that it's not worth looking for the word "N" to have proof that it's racism. Because even if the word is not used, the racist message is present.
Even though I'm Republican, I admit that Meghan Markle is an asset to the country. When I look at her, I see a strong, intelligent, rebellious, hardworking woman who knows what she is doing and especially who is aware of her value. It's women like her who are a perfect example for our children.
