Some of you people will complain to hell and back about how ass the AI on google searches is and then just, like... let it happen to you anyway? What do you MEAN you haven't taken steps to kill the AI and fully get rid of it or stop seeing it altogether?
I know google searches are generally "better" than duckduckgo if you need some specific-ass shit for work or whatever, since DDG is basically Bing 2, but...
For regular everyday searches, DuckDuckGo is perfectly serviceable and lets you turn off AI. You can also just use Ecosia or Startpage or whatever non-Google alternative you like.
For more obscure searches, you can literally get rid of the AI overview. There's extensions (on Chrome) and configs (on Firefox) for it, but more importantly, if you can't install an extension, you can still make the Konami Code your default search and never see AI again.
Why are you passively letting this happen. Why are you not taking simple steps to regain control of your online experiences? Like, genuinely.
