Glancing up, Rabastan sneers, a foul look.

With a sigh, Rabastan waited outside the doors to the banquet hall and ruffled his hair. He checked his watch. Rodolphus was late and that set Bastan’s teeth on edge; he’d only just got back from Greece that afternoon after a summer away, and Rodolphus was late.

Bastan scrubbed a hand over his newly-tanned face, and watched as a group of fourth years wandered into the banquet. He considered simply going in and starting eating before Rodolphus arrived, simply out of spite, but decided against it.

Looking up, he saw his brother approach.

“Took your time, didn’t you?”

Outside of the classroom and his unfortunate penchant for blackmail, Rabastan can be found playing Chaser on the Quidditch pitch, or practising his curses and hexes in Elkridge’s Duelling Club. Otherwise, he’s usually in the company of his twin brother, Rodolphus, and their best friend, Narcissa Black. Rumours abound about Rabastan’s relationship with Narcissa, but that’s another secret he’s keeping close to his chest…

Angry at his position as the second son, and reeling from his family’s tragedy, Rabastan is known for being someone with a bit of a chip on his shoulder, despite being a son of one of the most prestigious Wizarding houses in the world. He’s yet to take his Dark Mark, but his fatalistic attitude suggests that it’s only a matter of time. After all, his Arithmancy talents have certainly garnered him the attention of some older and more important witches and wizards, and it’s the kind of skill that will be very useful to the Dark Lord.
