If you can get away w/ going for it and not going into debt up to your eyeballs... then yes! If it's something you're very passionate about and you feel like it would give you satisfaction to pursue it, go for it. What school did you have in mind? Think you could rack up some grants? With your skill with words I could see you easily doing those scholarship essays and the like. I only caution the financial aspect bc sometimes even following dreams can turn bitter if put under extreme $ stress.
Like, I’m not any where near financially secure at the moment, but I always knew that I would have to go for grants and scholarships.Â
I’m looking at the Stonecoast MFA Program at University of Southern Maine  and at Western Washington University since both are known for being friendly to cross-genre/popular fiction writing which the majority of MFA programs aren’t. Both would require me to move, but I’m ready to get out of Michigan.Â
Actually, in the wild case that someone is, if you’ve experienced ether one of these programs, can you tell me about them?Â
